Any 2013 F 150 owners here? (5.0) (updated w/purchase)

Got one on my radar to possibly buy with 29k miles on it. I'll get it for around 23.5 after trade. Good deal? Good truck? Any problems for any of you? It's a Lariat 4 door FWIW.

They have had little to no problems out of the 5.0 engine. As far as the deal, I have no idea. Look at Autotrader for comparable trucks in your area to see what the market demands.

It's on the low end of the KBB price, so that's a plus.

Tough to say if the deal is good. What's the price of the truck before your trade?

Seems like a pretty solid deal

38.6, so I think they're working pretty hard for my business.

38.6 for a used lariat....I'd look around more my friend. You could possibly get a new one for a little more plus a full warranty and better financing. I bought mine used with 36K miles last year for 28K (5.0 lariat with navi and 20" wheels).

Yeah that price isn't good for an old body style and 2 years old. Pretty sure my dad paid about 40 for his Lariat crew cab 4x4 off the lot 2 years ago.
ETA: that truck is probably 34-35

Seems kinda high to me, 2WD I'm assuming? 2 years old, older body style, and the Ecoboost seems to be more desireable to most people.
I just did a quick build on Ford's website and came to a MSRP of $43,340 on a 2015 2WD crew cab Lariat with the 5.0.

2014 Lariet 4x4 Crew 5.0 on Mac Haik in the 40-42k range.

That must be plain Jane Lariat. The 501s run mid to high 40s and the 502s run 50ish. And that's 2wd.

Had a 2012 fx2 with the 5.0, great truck zero issues I paid 32 k for it but it was loaded just had leather.
I currently have a 2014 fx4 with ecoboost. I got it for 40k. And it's fully loaded 502 package every bell and whistle. As for the ecoboost I prefer it much more over 5.0 for towing. Other than that it's the same power wise.
I'd shop around for a new lariat or leftover 2014. 38k for a used 5.0 lariat is high...i got a very sweet deal on mine though. My sticker was 53k so I got 13 off

Correct, I didn't select any additional options as I was unsure what the 2013 might have had.

I have a 2012 FX4 with the 5.0 77k miles and no issues.

I do and I love it
I bought mine in early 2014. 5.0 Lariat 4x4 fully loaded. Next step up would have been KR. Only thing I didnt want was ecoboost.
FWIW I paid 39.5 (msrp 52)brand new off the lot with 4 miles on it. You can definitley get a better deal. Go shooping for new 2014's at the dealerships. You can get one for 38/39 if you haggle right. I brought one dealerships offer to the next and so on. They cant stand to lose to their competitors. Just keep walking out, they will give you what you want

Also factor in that you only have to pay the taxes on difference when trading in a vehicle. Say 30k truck trade in is 15k. You only pay taxes on the 15k owed. Some places will lower your actual trade in and factor in your tax incentive. Just something to be aware of.

I have a 2013 F150 4X4 502 package. It has been a great truck but that price is high. Check around Houston. I saved a bunch going to Mack Haik vs anything around the BR area.
