Almost sunk the boat on Tickfaw today

17 ft Nitro bass boat. Right by the prop stop. Just trying to make an evening fishing trip and we get swamped by a yacht that
1. Was on the wrong side of the biggest river around.
2. Didnt think of slowing down
First time i was legitly scared of going under. I wish the OT Ballers would give a little respect to us bass fishermen. And if green jeans woulda checked me today, i woulda ranted him a new earhole.
Anyway, caught 8 bass in 1.5 hrs! Most successful tickfaw trip of the summer!

Saw at least 15 gators on Natalbany the other morning. Right off the Tickfaw near Prop Stop. A couple were very aggressive.

Roundabout where did you catch those bass? Ive been fishing the Tickfaw for 35 years and never had a day like that.

I fished the Tickfaw a ton last year and did great. I had no luch after Isaac; however, I haven't been back since May.
When you launch the boat run towards the lake and pass all the camps/homes. I think it's the second to last bend before the lake when I usually just fish the trees running spinnerbaits all day. Used to be able to get 10~15 out of there pretty easily.

I cant tell you where, because i found some nice size fish and am fishing the spots thursday for afternoon tourny.

Yah I didn't mind giving him them old spots. I tried them...I used to see boats all in those trees when I would go. No one been catching there.
