Alligator prices

Anybody know what the buyers will be giving for gators this year?

$8.12/ft for prime hides is what I saw advertised last week. The storm might push it up a bit, but $10/ft would be my guess.

The price per foot varies greatly depending on the size of the hide. Look on LDWF website for buyers in east zone ( season opened today) and call and ask prices. I can't imagine this storm will affect prices at all. In fact I am excited because I am hoping the extra water will allow me to get a few places I usually can't fish.

That seems pretty low. Haven't hunted them in a few years though. Lowest I've seen it go was $12/ft.

Yea it's def gonna be higher than that. I called my buyer bc season starts today and he still didn't know

Alligators under 7 foot have been pretty worthless the last couple of years. The major buyer sent out a mailer this year saying that the money will be in the meat. Pretty much said if you bring in just a hide the price will not be good.

I talked to my buyer and all of his prices are the same except he is giving 25 for an 8 footer. Where is your buyer
