As I just finished paying my renewal thought I would re-mention this on here as Wick introduced me to it through here a year ago. After pricing an inland marine policy that was about 2K I was ready to just self insure, the company has a great reputation with rates and handling claims.

If anyone needs more coverage than what is covered by homeowner's, check out Eastern Insurance, John W. Richardson. The coverage is dirt cheap, I have my entire gun collection covered for $126/year. Website link doesn't seem to be working but phone number is 1800-545-9326. (For anyone wondering I have no financial interest just trying to pass on a great deal on firearm insurance)

How much coverage for $126? Just a range if you don't mind.

Do you have to provide serial numbers?

I'd like to know how much coverage also, and what deductible? I can get a rider for $10 per $1000 of coverage with no deductible.

Eastern insurance he is talking about, $100 deductiable and $35k worth of coverage , includes travel, guns, scopes, binoculars, accessories, etc, does not cover flood

Do not have to provide a list of guns or serial numbers, or appraisals unless you have any one item over $20,000 or so. It is blaket coverage, I have had it and you just can not beat this policy

Eastern lowest policy covers $35k in guns, scopes, etc and not more than $10k per individual gun without an appraisal. Deductible on my policy is $100, I think and this is world wide coverage.

I don't like the idea of a rider on homeowners for firearms and jewelry. The risk is high for damage through thief or being lost and you don't want to raise your insurance rates on your home with a claim. Most homeowner's insurances have a limit of $1k-$2500 on coverage on these items without buying additional coverage.

My policy is $100 deductible for 40K in value. I had to submit a list of items, and none needed to be appraised which surprised me because one of the guns is a model 21 with original wood and in the 300's serial number.

While I haven't had to file a claim they have been super easy to work with. Any single firearm valued over 50K must be appraised.

Collectibles Insurance does not exclude flood damage from its policy language.

Costs a little more than OP, but there is no deductible and submittal of a list.

Are you using this John Richardson guy in Boston for your agent or is there someone locally?
