Advice for a Cocodrie rookie
Posted by tigerjjs on 6/11/17 at 12:43 pm00
So I've got an 18ft. CC and I want to take it down to Cocodrie to explore the area and maybe catch a few fish. I'm a little nervous about running out to/past the islands with a smaller boat and not knowing the area. Not new to boating; just haven't fished the coast much. Any advice for a newbie on the do's and don'ts around there? Do I have to go out to the islands or can I catch closer in? Any and all advice greatly appreciated.

You don't need to run past the island. There are plenty places to fish in Lake Pelto and Terrebonne Bay

Cocodrie is pretty far out just to go fishing. There are plenty of closer places to your house. Just sayin'.
