Adding 50amp service to house for RV

Im doing some electrical work in my shop and wanting to add 50amp 240 for RV. I dont have an RV (yet) but do have family members that could use it right now. They have 14-50r plugs and can run 30 or 50amp. It will only require 10' of wire so I figured this would be a cheap upgrade at the house while Im in there.
It looks like there are several ways to do this. I would like it to be an outdoor power panel but there are a lot of options. Anyone here done it? Tips?

Will it be close to your electrical box?
You may have an open spot in your box.
Basically, you're pulling of both poles.
If you have a space in your box just run a wire to a box that they could plug into.

Im confused by what you are saying, but I know just enough about wiring to get in trouble.
I have a double pole 50 amp breaker and 8ga wiring. Im looking to add an outdoor panel outside so no one would have to get into my shop.

You can buy an RV box that has a 50 amp plug and a breaker in it, most also have a duplex 20 amp receptacle and breaker. It looks like the ones at campsites. Hookup would be the same but you would be able to also turn off the receptacle at the outside box. It is recommended to turn off the power before plugging in and unplugging anyway.
An RV 50 amp plug is not full 220V like a welder, it is two 50 amp 120V circuits in the RV. The outside box will need the two hots, a neutral and a ground run to it.
Here is an explaination LINK
Here is a place that sells the boxes.

I've done a couple for a family and friends, sounds like you have most of the pieces
this is a 4 wire service 2 hots, neutral and grd
just make sure you have a spot in your main panel for the breaker and you can use 3/4" flex conduit and lb's to join the 2 panels
its hell of a lot easier than trying to learn how to bending EMT, after 20 yrs I still throw pieces away

What is different? It's still 240 volts. Both have 2 120volt legs.

yes the only difference is that the RV plug has the neutral leg within the plug, but yes 240 is the same

Also don't forget to install a ground rod and wire at the outdoor box.

I think these days everything 220 is set up that way.

This is basically what l did
Ran wire from main house breaker panel to outside wall and mounted a weather proof box to plug in camper. Also at same time ran another wire from breaker panel to outside wall to a weather proof box so can plug in our generator or welding machine.

I should have worded it different. An RV plug has 220V like a welder but with the addition of the neutral because 99% of RVs do not have any 220V appliances (some very high end ones do use 220V).
I should have said An RV 50 amp plug is not only 220V like a welder it is a 220v/120v plug.
My bad!

I saw that as the Cadillac version. Like I said Im not very good with wiring. To meet code do you have to run seperate service for each of those since theoretically you can pull 100amps at the same time off that panel? Do you have to eire for 50amp AND 30amp AND 20amp?

The box makes it easy...You run your 100 amp capable 4 strand romex in conduit into the box and put the wires on the designated poles...It directs the power to the proper spots in the box.
Just make sure you test out the 50amp to be safe...you dont want to burn anyones convertor out.
heres the test diagram

no but if you are planning on going with a 100amp service you'll need to up your wire size to a #4 (if less than 12')
and go with a 1" conduit between the panels

no like ridge said its done already with the panel
