Looking at getting a new one. I have a Yamaha Rhino that is 11 years old and has over 6,000 miles on it. Thing has been the toughest motorized vehicle thing I've ever had. But after years of abuse I'm thinking of putting it out to pasture. I'm looking for a new ride. Don't want extended cab but do like the 3 seater front seats. Anybody have opinions/reviews of any of these:

-Yamaha Viking
-Kawasaki Tyrex
-Honda whatever
-Can Am Defender

Durability, turnability, comfort/ride and price being key points. Tia

That Kawi Trex is only a 2 seater in the standard version. And honestly, not enough room for two grown men anyway. The Viking is super comfortable, but it's really loud and the weakest of the bunch, of course it'll prolly be the most reliable long term option. The honda pioneer 1000 is pretty badass from what all I've seen, thinking about selling our ranger crew and getting one of the hondas with the 5 seats.

Why not the standard bearer of the sxs? Polaris Ranger.

Yes my vote goes to Polaris Ranger. Best of the SxS I've ridden in and driven. And I've had experience with all listed minus Rzr

Kawasaki Tyrex

best bang for the buck.

Only issue is its a pain to get to the belt for servicing.

been thinking of pulling the trigger and upgrading to one from my arctic cat.

the 4 seater and 2 seat are the same machine. same wheelbase.

I have had a lot of experiences around Rangers. Lots of buddies have/had them. They are great to ride in. Tons of power. But too much maintenance imo.

SIL and my daughter had bought the new Honda about a month ago. The big one. Nice ride, but what they paid for it, I would of just bought a nice used jeep with ac.

Just bought a Honda Pioneer 1000-5 last week. So far it seems to be a good wheeler but I've only had it for one week.

Honda Pioneer 1000 Deluxe. It is a Honda, so it will crank every time.

I have a 2010 Polaris Ranger. Bulletproof

My brother bought the Viking about a year and a half ago. So far it's been a very solid machine. Ride is better than my Polaris, handles well(power steering), and handles some pretty good mud around Catahoula lake.

I'd buy one if it was a better price than the Rangers.

At $12K plus, bitch better. Then add the cost of buying a new trailer for it.

I'm don't have much experience other than my mid-size Ranger so I don't know and am just asking.

How is the maintenance on a Ranger greater than any other?

Only thing I've ever done to mine is change the oil and a little grease in the fittings.
