I decided to splurge, bite the boolit, and get a couple of newer, more modern shooters..

Calibers man....calibers? .38 and .32? I am an old fart too and have picked up on old firearms. Just oil em up, make sure they function well, the choot away.

naw, I actually found the big Colt in my powpows hunting jacket and the 32 in his pants, about 30 years ago, while going thru the stuff that was left to me. Nobody else wanted those old dirty, torn, hunting clothes. lol

Eta: yep, 38 and 32. 32 has break over barrel.

Wow. I woulda thunk that Pow Pow Geauxt hunted & fought with a sharpened stick. He was technological for his time.

Pick on you being older than dirt. Old guns are fine.

RST makes shells that are safe for those guns. Order them online: Google RST shells, they are mid prices prices for premium shells. Probably around $11 a box

Awesome thanks. Was really wanting to kill a deer with the model 87. Was my great grand uncles, then passed to my grandfather, and now to me. It's probably taken more game in Lafouche parish, legally and illegally, than most of us added together
