The battery is dead. I can't find the right size replacement that fits in the provided space. Can I use a car battery to crank it? I just want to run it for a few minutes after putting fuel stabilizer in it. TIA.

yes as long as the voltage is the same.

How soon you need it? You could buy one that fits online and maybe have it by the end of the week. Probably cheaper too. Check the link for Battery Sharks online. Input your dead battery model # if that doesn't give you options call them and give them the dimensions.

I'd be willing you bet it's a 12 volt battery just like a car. So a car battery would work.

ETA: after looking on line, the ones I saw all had a 12 volt battery.

12 volt should work fine. I hope it cranks.

I have an 8500 watt (12000 surge watt) Guardian generator that is electric start. But there is also a way to rope start it. Not the case with the Tahoe?
