My 8 year old is now counting the hours until we climb up in that stand on Saturday for the first day of Youth Hunt Week. Gotta admit, his Dad is just about as excited.

Best of luck to your son this weekend!
My grandson turns two on Sunday, so I got a couple years before I can take advantage of youth weekend. I'm actually gonna hunt with a new members son this weekend. He has two young sons and wants to keep
Everything legal, so I was happy to help him out.

Youth hunts are awesome.....very few left for us........

But...lil choupique. Got his first buck on one.......

Climbed up in stand....I am texting owner letting him know we made it to stand.....lil choupique whispers "dad, there's a buck can I shoot him"... were cleared for brown and down...so I say yes.....don't look up finish text. BOOM! I look up and see a buck laying down 125 yards away.....

He was 8.... Texted owner come get us.......

Funny thing is all of our deer hunts before this one were in incredible place where we saw MANY deer fast......this was the reality hunt....
