I Idont know , sounds like either a very dangerous situation you should get her out of Or....it is only the worst that could happen?
Actually, this is just being realistic in Alaska. Just be cautious, prepared, and act decisively, and things usually work out fine.
Seriously if she can shoot first round every time ,center mass hit and several of them, no problem don't change anything as she is better than most LE personel.
I know...it's hard to not gloat sometimes.
Especially so around the macho gun-nut G.I. Joe wannabes.
But I have seen first hand what a 22 LR Stinger does to a thug out of 2 inch barrel it it is not pretty so no worries there.
A .22LR is what my oldest boy (16 yrs old) capped a home-invader with down in Houston...dropped the perp like a wet rag.
A 22 mag is really hard to control out of a short pistol and is almost unreliable in feed situations some times??
This is where I'm ignorant...I just don't know squat about a .22 magnum. I was so stunned that my boy so easily dropped that hardened criminal with a Ruger 10/22, that I opened my eyes and mind a bit more, so to speak.
If this is bear related then all bets are off
Bear isn't a real issue. We're near town, so we really only encounter black bears...they'll run from a slingshot. The more dangerous brown bears stay out in the bush except for a few weeks in very early spring. Moose are easily avoided.
Good point on sticking with what works for her. Will also look into a hi-cap .380....I'd like her to have more rounds at her disposal. Thanks man.
