Just bought a savage weather warrior .308 and trying to determine what rounds i want to blast through it.
I will mainly use it for deer hunting.
TIA

Nosler Accubond. I'm 3 for 3 with it. Never took a step.

Every rifle has it's own taste for ammo. Best is to buy a few different kinds and see what your rifle likes best then stick with that.

Truth. It isn't model specific either. Two of the same rifles made at different dates can shoot differently. I went through 10-15 types to figure out what my 22 shoots best. Thankfully, my deer rifles were all easy to find ammo for (but I won't shoot at a deer passed 300)

Hornady SST

The stuff is super accurate out of my bolt gun. I killed a doe at 300 yds with it last year.

I absolutely love 165gr for 308 just for simplicity sake. 165gr nosler accubond is awesome for any range of deer you realistically want to shoot and can ethically be used on elk out 300 yards.

While this is more true of rimfire weapons, generally, this is also true of centerfire weapons. This truth will be an important resource in getting Household 6 to approve a larger ammunition budget.
