Any good deals on rods/reels?
Posted on 3/18/17 at 7:56 pm to Success
Nothing huge in anything i was looking at. 20$ off here and there. Fish calls were on sale though if u wanted to give it a try. Some cheaper gear was on clearance type prices but not the quality stuff

Didn't look at rod n reels since I'm set but saw lots of folks walking out with new ones.

I saw a ton of people carrying around Carrot Stix, they were doing $75 per rod or $120 for 2 with a lifetime warranty. I believe they're normally $125 per rod.

Packed thick like leaving an LSU game. We eventually just said lets get out of here.

A lot of nothing IMO unless you wanted to buy an express boat then the selection was outstanding

And plenty of Blue Wave's

Went earlier today. Nothing different than any other year

Went today. Plan to go back tomorrow. I really only buy the arts and craft type stuff. Metal. Carved fish, wooden carved LSU stuff, etc. You can wheel and deal with those type of booths. Best time to wheel and deal is Sunday. They don't wanna have to pack that shite up and get a little more desperate to sell. Last year I bought a metal carved speck, redfish and crawfish. I wanna buy the sheepshead and flounder this year but they were asking too much. 150 then they told me 125. I prolly won't pay more than 80 or 90. I think I can talk them down. That's about what I paid last year.
A couple things I bought last year....

I checked out that booth and almost bought a red, speck and flounder but talked myself out of it. Cool stuff though.

It should be renamed to the Louisiana outdoor themed long sleeve t shirt extravaganza.

I was thinking the " goofy outdoor themed t shirt and gourmet dip show"

Hey I welcome them. I filled up on free pretzel sticks and delicious dip.
