Water has been high at white lake last few years. Lot more divers than good birds
Hunted there in the rice fields last season. Pissed me off that they picked us up at 9 am when a shite load and I'm talking about thousands of pintails were dropping in our pond just out of range with thousands more still coming down. I never in my life saw so many pintail together
Got another hunt there again next weekend and I will have words with the fat guy about that.

It's in the rules and there's nothing you'll be able to do about it.
That place sucks though. We've looked through their season log and it's pretty obvious that the weather really didn't have much to do with it.

Are the lottery marsh hunts better? I planned on entering both lotterys next year

I went down there back around 06-07 for a 4-H trip where we stayed in the lodge during the split and we spent a morning out in the marsh blinds watching birds. If we would have been hunting we would have been limited out by 8 and had a few specs fly over so close I could have hit them with a stick. Back then it was loaded with birds.

To say White Lake sucks is a bit of a stretch. It is prime location and habitat, but the high water has changed the birds habits inside the property. When the water is right, there's not much better marsh hunting in the state.

He's not talking about the marsh. He's talking about the worthless POS rice fields in that area. Rice fields will continue to struggle as long as there is no hurricane to destroy the marsh.

Daughter and SIL hunted there for the teal season. Didn't fire a shot.

Mach, super jealous on the black duck! I want one so bad. May have to come up for a hunt with you next year since they are raising the limit to 2/day. Congrats bud
