You can make a great truck out of it

I'm just providing my own anecdotal evidence, but I have a 2010 6.4. I did egr delete and dpf delete with 250 Spartan tuner. I have put about 70k miles on it in 5 years. Haven't had a single issue.

I'm trading it in tomorrow, and they are giving me almost the exact same I paid for it in trade-in. I'm looking at a tundra now, only because I don't haul heavy loads anymore and I do more city driving.

I'll put it this way....buying that truck made me go back to college. I bought it for $27.5k, and spent somewhere between 27 and 30 thousand dollars fixing it.

Once SHTF, you're fricked. I diesel truck isn't worth shite without an engine

Now people say with it programmed you will stretch the head bolts and stuff and i disagree because a 275 tune and me behind the wheel would have definitely caused them to stretch
This made me laugh. Try jamming 62psi of boost in there, and see what happens. IIRC, I could only hit ~30 on the stock tune

Eta: It was a bad mother fricker when it ran. I could beat a ZL1 to around 80 or 85 every time on the 350 tune. Never got beat by a Mustang or Charger. Stock Vettes wouldn't pull away too fast on the interstate. I stuck with the 275 because the 310 and 350 were un-driveable normally. Never raced Pepperidge, but the only truck on the road that could hang was a H&S tuned F250.

.....and then it was broken for a few years

My BIL's gearhead friend told him the 6.4 is good but to stay away from 6.0.

The 6.4L may have actually been worse than the 6.0. Run away.
