I'm going look at one this weekend with 175 hours on it. Is this a decent motor? Anything to look out for?

If you're serious about buying it, bring it to a qualified mechanic to give it a once over. Worth the price.

I've been in the market for a used bass boat this past year. A large majority of Yamahas I see for sale has had a blown powerhead. I was surprised by this because I've owned smaller Yamaha motors, and they have been great. Just something you may want to take into consideration.

Drain some lower unit oil and see if it's milky, pop cowl and see how clean/dirty they've heat it, test tilt/ trim, check seals on trim/tilt compression test cylinders.
Best option is for mechanic to hook up to computer, they can tell u a lot about how's it's been run (rpm, % of time, etc).

I own a HPDI
Great motors if proper maintenance is done. If you buy it take it to a shop and have the injectors cleaned ASAP. That is what causes this motor to blow power heads. People aren't following the proper filter maintenance and it's clogging injectors and blowing up the motors.
