I found two used 1911s in good shape and want your opinion . One is a sig 22 for 450 the other is a llama 45 for 300 . Ate either one of these a good deal . I must admit I'm pretty ignorant on pistols

My stepdad has a llama. I have never shot it but it doesn't seem like it would be worth that. I could easily be wrong.

I love sigs even though I believe they have external extractors, however I have heard they did it right.

I don't believe the 22 cal sig has an external extractor.

$450 will get you decent 1911. Look elsewhere.

My fault I didn't even see the 22 part of it. Nor did I look at the price which would have also sent a hint.

But yea I can't imagine that being external

You can get a colt .22 brand new for about $400, its better than the sig. I honestly have no idea about the llama.
If you want a 1911 for approx $500-500 get a metro arms classic. For $700 a ruger can be had and its a GREAT 1911 for the money.

No, it won't. Unless its a .22 or you wanna put another $150+ in it.

Just did some research and it was as I expected that the llama is shite. I wouldn't buy it. My stepdads feels shitty but he got it for free from a worker that owed him money that he borrowed. If you really just want a 1911 it looks the part I just wouldn't want it.

I use "decent" loosely.

Still, you can get RIA in that range.

$450 is too much for a 22LR used 1911, even if it is a Sig.

$300 is prolly an ok price for a used Llama 1911......IF it works. The problem is, how are you going to know it works until you've shot it some? Llama's had a very spotty reliability record, at best. There's a reason Llama's not still making 1911's.
