Comfortable in camp - about to cook breakfast then head to stand. Peak activity looks to be mid morning so slept in.
45-70 or bow - undecided.
Good luck to all!

First hunt of the year for me and I'm the only one that made it out this morning, hopefully it's worth it.

Brown it's down day
Box on a pipeline with shooting lanes in all 4 directions.

First time this year I've had to replenish my corn piles. According to the father in law who hunts further up the pipeline there have been at least 5 deer out here every morning. So this will be the morning none show up.

Box stand
55* clear and windy.

Deer have been running a lot based off what people have said at my camp. First time I've been able to hunt in two weeks.

I was just in a very compromised and vulnerable position. Carhart overalls completely off, bare assed, holding on to a tree shitting in the middle of the woods. No gun on me, no weapon of any type. A deer or bear or whatever could've just had its way with me.

Just let what I would imagine was an 8 point walk right through my lane. Dude was chasing. Never checked up once and couldn't get my gun up in time.

Hope my dad kills him, he was walking directly towards his stand.

And now I can hear people running dogs behind me. Great.

I feel you. Mine was just brought on by being very drowsy then a pressure release valve popped at the well site 300 yards from me. Sounded like someone was raping Chewbacca.

Bacon, eggs, coffee, and dip did me in. As soon as I got in the stand I felt the stomach rumble. Quickly prepared for the worst.

My brother in law just texted me. All it said was thank god for harnesses. He's in a lock on in the hardwoods 50 yards behind that well site. Apparently he fell asleep and was so startled by the valve he fell forward and the harness caught him.

My 7 year old partner killed his first deer yesterday. 7mm08 at 125 yards. Big old doe, neck shot(we will call it on purpose)

It was a ball he was laughing, shaking, crying...he was a mess!

He smiled the whole day, no nap, literally couldn't waje him this morning. He is gonna be pissed I left him
