Layoffs by P2S

My old lady works for Fluor and their sub company P2S is handling the cleanup. She told me last night that they were laying off 500 people bc the oil isnt coming on shore yet and isn't expected to for a while if at all at least in massive amounts. So I guess that is good news

P2S is cleaning the beach in Gulf Shores. There was a huge base camp on the beach.

P2S is set up from Mobile down to Talahassee. They have hired about 3,000 people for cleanup and warehousing efforts.

Fail.
They may have a portion of the contract but they are not "handling" the cleanup.
I havent heard of any layoffs as of yet, so if they are laying off people then their contract must be in an area that is not being affected at all.

P2S is managing the oilspill. They are contracted in as GF's and supervisors over the random laborers. He posted accurate information.

This is correct, P2S is managing technicians, just like companies like Interstate, TL Wallace Etc Etc.
Layoffs will be happening as some companies will be cut back, BUT mainly they will be cutting back hours. 40 hour weeks will soon be coming.
