I usually hit up the Bulldog, Cove, and Pelican House but what are some of the young professional bars in BR?

Dude is asking for advice. Maybe he wants to socialize with others like him? There is a difference in the types of bars that young professionals go to, to hang out after work vs bars that college kids or blue collar workers go to. There is nothing wrong with wanting to socialize with others in your same socioeconomic class.

on a night you're already at pelican house, give lock & key a look. only been twice, but the crowd was something like what you're talking about. not a big place though

What the hell is a young professional? Isn't anyone who does something for a living a professional?

Seems like a euphemism for single white collar worker.
