You'll Shoot Your Eye Out!

I got my 7 year old son a sweet air rifle with a scope. Dad gets a semi-automatic BB pistol so they can shoot together. Plenty of ammo and targets are in the stockings. I just wrapped it all up while hubby is outside assembling another gift.
Our son has already shot BB and .22 rifles with mature respect. He has been taught by responsible adults and really enjoys it. He knows the rules and we take all precautions for safety. We might get criticized by those who don't understand, but I'm not concerned about that.
I can't wait to see my son receive his first gun tomorrow. Merry Christmas, I hope you all enjoy giving something great to the ones you love.

Let him kill a couple birds or a cat. My dad got me a BB gun at 6 and turned me lose on the neighborhood cat population.

After all.. the games like Cowboys and Indians/ cops and robbers are what currently keep our country safe.

I can't wait to do this with my son and daughter when their old enough.
And screw the haters. Gun responsibility teaches you more than just gun safety. Plus, those memories will carry over to when your son has his own children.

I don't live on the family place anymore, so I have no part in the trouble my brother has with our cousin for shooting a few Canadian geese. There are over a hundred of them the last few years taking over the ponds and creating a goose poop crisis. I say let him pick off a few for shites and giggles.

I wish I had a .22 or a bow right now. There's a cpl stray cats at the Missus' mom'shouse that need to be eradicated.
