Sounds like you are doing it wrong.

I've actually wondered about that myself at times, but I can't seem to feel happy without being useful. In fact, the person I speak of seems miserable most of the time, and I'm pretty happy most of the time. So, I'm guessing that making myself useful and feeling like I'm accomplishing something positive is the right thing.

Not all on the same pay scale. But, I think the motto of the person I speak of is: "See how little you can possibly do."

It's always a consideration, but the work I do here is important, and my skills are well utilized.

working hard or hardly working?

As long as you don't put your co-workers in a bad spot, I can't fault someone for barely doing shite.

I certainly am a ninja level master at doing nothing and taking credit for other's peoples effort. And part of what I do is to make a big fricking deal about everything I do.

And also, I always tell ppl I am ridiculously busy.

Don't know, don't really keep up with the OT goings-on, but this "chick" registered a couple days ago, has avi, sig, and sig quote all set up with a theme, and is barreling into starting threads on the OT. Bout as obvious as posting on the help board.

I feel good when I'm working hard but can't help but question American attitude that working hard for the sake of working hard is intrinsically good. After living in Europe for a couple years I respect their views on leisure time. I wouldn't want to be a Greek citizen though.

trashy horseface across the hall is like that. She shows up at 9, texts the whole time she's here, hour and a half lunch at 11, then back to texting

Based on your response, it sounds like everyone does what they need to do, just not in the same way you do it. And you'd fire someone who does their work because you don't like the way they manage their time? I'm sure everyone is happy you don't have that position of power.

You mean like some dipshit that starts a thread about a "rescue" from 10 years ago that was already posted and debunked?

You fricking dolt.
