I'm not sure how long ago this place opened, but my wife and I went over the weekend. They have a fantastic selection of bulk candy (in the jars), chocolates, and regular packaged candy (especially nostalgic stuff). They also have an ice cream/soda shop part to the store.

It's in an old bank up by the lakefront. Hopefully they can make it. I have to imagine the cost to purchase, or rent, that location was pretty high.

My wife is pregnant, so that's my excuse for loading up on all that crap

I occasionally go to the candy store in Scott.

Bad jelly beans are hilarious.

That big arse gummy bear they have there is ridiculous. I was going to buy it for the kids but $40 was crazy.

Yeah I agree, would love for a business like this to make it, because you know it is a "dream business" but there simply isn't all that much traffic around there.

It's been open at least a year now and always has customers. Why would the winder months be brutal?

The people that run the business also own the building. That should help them stay in business.

And they booted a bad arse restaurant / bar out of the space to open this place. Still mad at them about that.
