Board up and claim damages on insurance or get a crew together and defend it?

Insurance doesn't cover riots and the police weren't near the buildings.

Get on the roof, armed to the teeth, thin the herd.

This. And maybe purchase a few black market things to aid in said protection...

Insurance excludes damage from riots.

They're screwed.

Protect your property.

Never thought bout riots not being covered. Question for underwriters, why isn't that covered?

I wonder if any of them caught on fire from the flares/gas/smoke cannisters the cops were firing off like crazy. There at the beginning they were firing that shite everywhere. Saw multiple go skyward in the live footage. I am sure most of the fires were set by the looters, but it's not beyond the realm of possibility for one to have been set by those cannisters. That's usually how the cops kill murderers held up in a house.

Because insurance companies suck?

They normally exclude wars, terrorism, riots, acts of God, and emergency situations.

My guess is because riots and terrorism, etc often effect a wide area and they don't want to pay for a big area all at once.

Also, you can opt into that coverage for more money, most don't because who the frick expects riots and th defense attorneys sit back and laugh at the people who pay premiums their whole lives and say sorry you don't have coverage. And we need your check next month or your policy is cancelled.

I would offer icewater and maybe healthy snacks to the protestors, because no matter what else is going wrong in the world hydration is always number 1

call in a private security contractor firm for the evening... put a few signs up and then let them rip. Aint nothing about that protest in "honor of Brown."

It was a bunch of entitled zombies expressing their inner selves. Its going to get worse.

Hopefully a lot of them didn't fully restock their shelves after the last riot. Less to lose because they had to know this was coming.

I would be boarding up and making sure my insurance had enough coverage. No since risking your life to defend merchandise that can be replaced.

Now if I lived in Ferguson and had a family to defend it would be all hands on deck and gun in all hand.
