Early flight to give you time to catch a bite and a drink. Plus, if I'd were you I'd want to get inside the ball park as early as possible to soak it all in.

Not sure. Ours was about 10 blocks away.

If you have the Delta voucher, why are you even considering the later flight? That doesn't seem to make much sense.

Better go straight to wrigley. Traffic will be a mess especially at 5ish so you'll probably be best riding the blue line all the way to the loop, transfer to red and go to Addison.

ETA- I would totally do it.

Just going to Wrigley Field is a great reason. The fact that it's a NLCS game is a no brianer.

Pay more to get there ealier

You're cutting it close. If I went to all that trouble to catch a game at Wrigley, I'd want to take in way more than just the game itself. You'll barely get there before first pitch.
too late now, but I'd want to get there by lunchtime and take my time in getting there.

If I was guaranteed that the Cubs would lose, I'd go.

I took this flight about a month ago. If the flight gets in early, be prepared to sit on the tarmac waiting for a gate at ORD. It's rush hour at O'hare when you land

Eta: Also you may want to take the L to get closer to the city, then take a cab/uber to wrigley. Last time traffic was a nightmare, wouldve taken forever to grab a cab to downtown

I went to the 1st game of the Giants/Cubs series at Wrigley last year, same week as the LSU game at Lambeau.

Glad I went, especially because they won it all last season, but I've enjoyed both games I've been to at Wrigley. Nice place, great atmosphere.

Sounds like you're fortunate. I've flown American probably 40 times, and had substantial delays about 1/4 of the time.

There is a reason people hate AA. Even my Dallas friends generally hate it. Although I despise them more for being inefficient and obnoxious than for the delays.
