Taking my nephews to the WWE Night of Champions event here in Houston Sunday evening. Never been to a WWE event so what are we in store for? Luckily we have suite tickets (compliments of wife's company) so we won't have to fraternize with the crazy fans. How long do these things usually last?

No idea, but you better prepare your nostrils. Those booger eaters heed no laws of common decency.

You're doing it wrong. Being amongst the crazies is best part. Top notch people watching.

It'll be over around 9:45 or 10. You'll probably want to get there around an hour early. The kids will have a blast and the shows are usually entertaining enough to keep an adult's attention, even if you're not a fan.

Lot of fireworks usually too but if you're in the box, shouldn't be a big deal. The reason I say that is because my 7-year old freaked at that when we were sitting about 3rd row one night.

I would allow for a 3 hr show. "Fraternizing with crazy fans" is part of the fun, but you don't sound like the type who would enjoy this show anyway. Just sit back in the suite and have some drinks.

Probably the oddest thing about a live event for a first timer is the fact that you don't hear the match announcers like you do on the TV show.

I went to one in BR and it was awesome. go and enjoy it for what it is and you will have a great time. Sit there and keep saying its fake and you will be miserable.

The show will end at 10. They're fun times.

Saw WCW in Atlanta when I was a kid when Goldberg took the belt from Hogan. Good times

I was hardcore NWO Wolkpack at the time as well

Well it is a PPV even so it will go 7 and be over before 10.

If you were going to RAW or Smackdown the time wouldn't be as obvious. Smackdown can be harder to determine since it is taped and showed later. Raw typically is 3 1/4 hours.

It should be fun. I'd like to take my son but we're busy Sunday.

THIS. I have been to a few. Been to RAW a couple of times. Just let yourself be absorbed in to the silliness of it. Do all the chants and signals and all that stuff and you will have a great time.

Look at it as an escape from reality, just like a movie.

Shows are actually pretty entertaining. That's a pay per view event too right? If so, you should at least get to see all the main stars

Ive been to one. We won the state championship in wrestling like 4 years in a row and WWE came down to our school and put on a show for us. The main event was Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs Ted Dibiase.

Sometimes they have matches before the "Bell time". Get their early, they do out on a good show whether you watch Wrestling or not.

Yeah this is a PPV event and supposedly every belt is on the line. So the majority of the stars will be there.

My mom took my brother and I to see WCW Nitro in the mid to late 90's. The only thing I really remember is the Wolf Pack and TRU performing "Hoody Hoo."

I've been to one PPV event live when I lived in Seattle. Ring looked a lot smaller than it looks on TV.

I had fun. I don't recall anything bad as far as interacting with other fans there.
