It's a shame. Seems like a good charity

What caught our attention is how the Wounded Warrior Project spends donations compared to other long-respected charities.
For example, Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust spends 96 percent of its budget on vets. Fisher House devotes 91 percent. But according to public records reported by "Charity Navigator," the Wounded Warrior Project spends 60 percent on vets.

No charities donate all money.

I hear they are anti-gun as well. There are better charities for wounded vets out there, they just don't have the publicity as WWP.

This is very old news but is depressing for people who have supported the "charity" before I knew. Satan has spot reserved for them in hell.

But bro I went though knee deep mud while getting shocked by tazers for our vets, doesn't that count for something??

I thought this was common knowledge. We researched them like a year or so ago for consideration as one of our main charities to support. After we saw how little of the money they take in actually goes to wounded vets, we passed.

What's absurd is that these charities are even needed.
The government should be taking care of these guys. Why does the public need to donate money to care for guys that were injured in a war we already picked up the bill on as tax payers.
Our government is disgusting.

the most publicized charities contribute smaller amounts than those that are less well known. They may spend more for marketing and advertising to gain a larger stream of incoming money to donate. Everyone that puts forth any money to donate should really research where their money is actually going.

While plenty of folks think we spend too much on the military, I think you'd have to look really hard to find someone who'd be against that spending.

If you want to donate money that will go to help wounded veterans I suggest Disposable Heroes Project. It's run by a veteran out of Hammond, LA (the guy who owns Hammond Crossfit) and I've been told that they don't take any salaries or anything from the charity. All proceeds go back to helping veterans.

quote:Exactly, and they all have "big parties" that serve as fundraisers, among other things. I did three of them for Fisher House.
No charities donate all money.
It looks like WW is just inefficient, and the timing of this article seems suspect, as it comes right after Trump announced that he was going to skip the debate and hold a fundraiser for WW instead.

The real oppurtunity comes in when you figure out how to get away with laundering money.
This is how you get really rich running charities

Red Cross takes around 94 % of its donations and doesn't use it for what it was intended

Wounded Warrior advertises on Fox News every time you look up.
So I assume Fox News is probably getting a good chunk of that 40% not going to the wounded warriors.
Fox News generates more revenue streams from armed conflicts than you would initially think of.
No wonder a big portion of their fear mongering propaganda is dedicated to the escalation of hostilities on multiple fronts.
