For 36 hours total, but get paid for 40? Then you have Monday through Friday day off. My sister is being offered this at a hospital in Houston in the ER. Strange as hell but obviously a lot of days off.

I would take the job plus pick up 2-3 shifts during the week there or at another hospital for a year or two to pile some money away. Depends on where she is at in her life I guess.

Not unless they were paying me extra per hour as well.

Weekends in the ER are the busiest just 4 extra hours wouldn't be enough for the craziness.

My aunt also worked two shifts on the weekend and got paid 40 hours for them.

Hell no. Too many awesome things happen on weekends that you would have to miss.

yes.

Especially if she's getting weekend and night differential pay, which can add up quick!

Add to that the ability to pick up an extra shift when needed and get some OT. . . who would say no?

I had a friends whose wife worked that. She already made bank then add in the differential pay and she was making a lot more but after 2 years she hated it and took a 30k year cut just to get away from it

Working 3 12s is not a strange schedule, but 3 in a row in the ER is gonna be hell.

Most RNs I know that work in a hospital setting only work 9-12 days a month.

Theres a place in Houma that does this.

You work 40 hours total and they pay you 10 hours of OT if you make the entire 40 hours. They also feed you two meals a day.

14 hours Friday
14 hours Sat
12 hours Sun

This is pretty common. This is my wife’s schedule "also a Nurse".
