Have you ever seen an incubator for pre mature infants? the glass enclosure with the rubber arms built it. something similar to that and it would obviously get bigger as they got older...

Maybe we should try it with like mice or something first just to see if your idea...re...mm...your weed is too strong.

The idea is interesting. The logistics of making it happen are impossible.

Friend of mine has said on multiple occasions he would teach his kid the wrong name for colors and see how that turns out in school.

I honestly wouldn't be against putting orphaned kids in military schools.
I'm not an orphan but I went to military boarding school and loved it, We had a blast! They were tough on us in many way bit we learned a lot and we respected our teachers and staff a lot. We have found them thru FB and enjoy talking about the good old days.
As for experiments on children, I always think of the horrific picture of this little girl whose mind and memories were erased by LSD or something. Those wires all over her he look so creepy - I have always wondered who this little girl is and how she ended up in life.
The sign above her says she was given lots of LSD over a 6 month period, given electroshock therapy, sensory deprivation and other stuff to reduce her mind to that of a newborn. This freaks me out completely.

By taking orphaned infants and raising them in underground cities where some would be isolated and some are grouped.

it wouldn't cost much more than housing a few inmates.... they would pretty much be confined to a small area
So you're proposing taking a few orphaned babies and raising them in your basement?

We could drop down a laptop to them and they'd post better threads than you.

It would be no different than putting a bunch of dogs in a cage.
If you never teach these babies anything they will eventually kill each other when they got older. No communication is taught so speaking and understanding each other would take a long time. They would use sign language and possibly come up with their own language. It would sound like neanderthals grunting most likely. They would never even come to think about a god, but they would wonder where the food and games come from. As they got older they would eventually grow bored, jealous, and unable to cope with that box they live in. They would kill each other.
It would be a mess.

yes it would be completely different. Humans aren't dogs.
And eventually they could be moved into a zoo like habitat where they experience nature to an extent.

You didnt mention moving them in your op. So if they stayed in a room it would be no different than dogs in a cage. They wouldnt come up with some 10 commandments to live by. There would be no rules. Put 1 female in the room and I promise you there would be fights to the death.

I would be all for it. Then again I have a degree in Psychology so I'm all for this kinda shite. Every major psychologist was controversial during their time.
