I worked for a bank IT department. Since I was the new guy I was on call about 50% of the time.

It sucked.

eta: I have never really had a manual labor type job

I did work in Plano for about 6 months. Not that Plano itself was bad or the work itself. We would leave Lafayette at about 4 AM on a Monday, work about 15 hours a day while in Plano, drive back at about 10 or 11 AM on a Friday, and then repeat on Monday. It just flat out sucked.

Colonial Country Club before my senior year at TCU for the PGA tournament there

The HR director tricked me and some of my football teammates into being kitchen stewards for the entire week. 9 straight days of washing dishes, taking out the trash and cleaning up the entire kitchen every night from 6am to 2am. It was brutal and the HR director tricked us into it.

The 3 years before that I did purchasing and all I did was drive a golf cart around the course delivering things and it was awesome. But that year the HR director got me and my football teammates who were going to work there that year and said she is creating this awesome secret new team for the tournament this year and picked us out of all the applicants to be a part of this special team. We had no idea what we would be doing until day 1 when they threw us in the dishwasher and told us to start washing dishes.

9 straight days.

I worked at a Mardi Gras supply house. The owner was a complete a-hole. I also had the pleasure of working with the laziest Asian known to man. The Asian guy would just disappear and I would find him sleeping in the warehouse. One day I just quit and walked out. They called wanting me back...

I did this. It sucked. Laying sod and installing irrigation in the summer is high up there.

Working at the fricking TCBY on Highland Road in BR. Quit mid-shift and simply left and never came back. Just a job the summer before my freshman year to get free ice cream.

In high school I worked for a pest exterminator. I had to crawl under houses and rake up all the crap - dead animals, diapers, used condoms, whatever found its way underneath there.
