Women who express their reason for living on FB

Such as their children for example...is this a "look I'm such a good mom-I love my kid" thing/attention seeking method? I see a lot of it and not sure what that's about. Does this mean they love their kid more than others love their kids?

I don't think I'd put my kid's pics on FB. Too many freaks out there.

trying to one up their friends

Nope. It means they're attention whores. Just like the people use FB to tell their S.O. that they love them or to wish them happy anniversary. They want others to see it. If you love your husband or child and want them to know, tell him. No need to post it on FB.

Bragbook is a more accurate name.

Tell them:
Your kid looks like you drank when you were pregnant

I'm so pissed about facebook right now. I am 41 years old and have never had that crap. Well this weekend when we were camping/boating with friends, my stepdaughter decided to make me a facebook account on the phone.
So the past 3 days, I have been receiving many facebook friend requests that I am just ignoring. Now everyone's going to think that I'm an anti-social a-hole.

One of the major reasons I left Facebook was the single mothers and just mothers in general. I don't give two fricks about your kid spilling macaroni or "how cute he's being for daddy". You want to express your love for your kid, one post a day will do, I don't need your timeline every time the kid poops or falls down.

It's been my experience that people who do this are trying to convince themselves about whatever they are saying.
I can recall three women off the top of my head who would go on and on about their "wonderful husband" who are now separated or divorced.

I created a brand new account and have 0 friends..just participate with Fantasy Football Groups because that's the best way to communicate with other members.

We are a military couple, the only reason I utilize facebook is to share what's going on with our children/my wife and I with our family/friends that are spread out so far.
There are freaks everywhere, not just the internet, additionally, there are a lot of people to be creepy to... On the internet, not just us.
I am not going to let my 2 year old hang out outside by his self either way, so what additional threat would this cause me?
