I havent shampooed my hair in 6 years

I did the no shampoo thing for a few weeks, but then my hair got really stinky. It did look better though. But it smelled

Isn't shampooing your hair every day bad for it? Supposed to every couple of days instead. But LOL @ 6 years.

Yeah, my barber says you should do it every 3 days. Otherwise, it'll be too oily. When you wash it, it pulls the natural oils away from your scalp, so your scalp replenishes the oils on its own. But then it starts to overproduce it, possibly resulting in hair that's too oily.

Well it obviously worked out for her so I don't see a problem. Some weeks I only shampoo 2 or 3 times and it works out just fine when I do. I actually don't really notice a difference.

There are other ways to wash your hair than use shampoo. This isn't that unusual.
