Woman with blood alcohol of .451 gets into wreck while young 6 kids are riding with her

Kids were unrestrained riding in her Honda accord. Driver thought she could beat an oncoming truck at a light.
2 girls are seriously injured: 11 year old with brain injury and the 6 year old is paralyzed and will never walk again. These are not her kids.
The woman driver was walking around when police arrived and kids were scattered around the wreck on the ground screaming. Drunk drivers never seem to get hurt in these things; I assume because they go limp during the wreck.

(WRDW/WAGT) -- A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 46-year-old Tara Christine McConnell, who was the driver in a serious crash involving six kids who were unrestrained in McConnell's 1993 Honda Accord. A post by their father says Arwen is making small steps, breathing on her own now. Violet has had spinal fusion surgery with no complications reported.
Tara Christine McConnell, 46, is charged with DUI, failure to yield, reckless driving, six counts of failure to restrain children, DUI less safe, six counts of DUI child endangerment, and six counts of serious injury by vehicle. According to Major Steve Morris with the Columbia County Sheriff's Office, McConnell's blood alcohol level was .451. The legal limit in Georgia is .08.

Doubt it. Any parent dumb enough to let their child under the custody of someone capable of something like this probably won't care too much about the results.

This is the paralyzed 6 year old who had a spinal fusion surgery. Too bad the cops didn't see the drunk driver going for her gun at the accident scene. Frick

Ge'ez that's horrible. Under normal circumstances i'd have to make fun of a kid named Arwen or at least her parents. But I just hope she makes a full recovery and that woman spends the rest of her miserable life in jail.
