Journalists at large could learn a lot from whoever wrote this headline. It's the first newspaper article I've read in full in years.

[quote]The old taking your girlfriend into the woods so that you can "accidently" shoot her trick. The oldest trick in da book. /quote]

I don't know- no pictures, so homegirl may be on the 'large' size, maybe she really looked like a big hog...

Pure dumbass, shooting at movement in the dark. Maybe he hit what he was shooting at.

This, plus the article said he was shooting at noise as well. I have never understood this, how people just shoot at something that they cannot clearly identify. Especially this joke of a guy. Said he was shooting at a noise "outside the tent." Did he just fail to realize that his GF was not in the tent with him at the time and that maybe, just possibly she (his GF) was taking a late night piss after getting drunk in the woods.

I'm no Buffalo Bill, but what would a .30 do to a hog? annoy him?

Do you think she was more pissed at being mistaken for a Hog than the actual getting shot part?

the truth is worse than the title.

moron shot "blind" into the brush without knowing what he was shooting at. He had told the little lady to stay put. She moved.

This guy should have all his gun rights taken away, if you don't know what you're shooting at, DON'T shoot!!

to the writer of the article- does this woman have 2 lower legs? "..both of her upper legs." if she has upper and lower legs maybe she did look like a hog.

This comment in the article was the funniest part of the whole thing... What kind of dumbass doesn't know what the terms upper leg and lower leg mean?
