Took these pictures yesterday at Windsor Ruins near Lorman, Ms. Shot them from 6:30 to 7 PM. There are woods surrounding three sides of the ruins. The side facing the sun at sunset has a large field in front of it.
Used a Canon T3i. Lenses: stock lens (17-55 mm) and Canon 50 mm Prime II 1.8. Used Lightroom to photo edit.
I'll be honest. I'm just now learning how to use a camera as well as how to photoedit. I know I made a ton of rookie mistakes. Only way to learn is just do it and learn from mistakes. Here are some of the photos.
Used to hunt at a camp right across the highway from the ruins. Beautiful woods and terrain. Small old homestead cemeteries along some of the ridges with no traces of the houses anymore. Also old water cisterns in those wood where homes used to be.
The church is at Rocky Springs, a ghost town on the Natchez Trace. Camped for many years at the Rocky Springs campground not too far from Port Gibson. The town of Port Gibson is pretty amazing in itself since much of it surviived the Civil War.
