Dobermans are on our list also. Labs and golden retrievers are great dogs but we want something different.

Second the doberman. He is very protective of my 2 year old son. Great dog overall as long as they get exercise. They want to be with you at all times, so if you are looking for an outside dog, it won't be happy with that arrangement
