guys go out and try to hook up. but when girls do she's a slut, sloot, whore, whatever.

Men are the gatekeepers of commitment, women are the gatekeepers of sex. Hence why men who are able to get past that gate so many times are studs.
The male equivalent of a woman who spreads her legs for so many dudes would be a guy who freely and easily gives up his commitment/time to every woman he meets. In other words, a nice guy who invests emotionally or financially and commits his attention/time/resources to every woman who gives him attention and doesn't get sex in return.

yes, absolutely. she would be free to do whatever she wants, provided she's smart and careful about it.
