No, no there isn't. It really isn't as bad as you pot-stirrers think. You have a black president and the second black Atty General, couple that with a liberal media and you got your anti-cop hate-train at full speed. The majority of cops do a great job on a shite salary.

Oh, yes there is. There absolutely is.

And this

Doesn't mean there isn't a problem.

Not me.

I am not for cops being killed by any means, and I think that if they reasonably feel their life is in danger then deadly force is legal.

However, it is not the cases of deadly force that cause the distrust. Their are many more cases where a cop will do wrong and it is ignored. It is ignored by the politicians and it is ignored by other police officers.

I understand you have dirty or bad cops, but what I do not understand is the otherwise good cops not doing their job when the person violating the law is wearing a badge.

That's a part of it, but the larger part are stats like blacks are proportionately responsible for committing more murders than any other.

2015 FBI murder numbers

While blacks represent only around 15% of the total population, they committed 47% of the murders committed in 2015.

When you widen that scope to also include non-negligent Manslaughter, the numbers get even larger with blacks committing 52% of those. LINK.

For such a small group to be committing not just a statistically larger amount of murders and non-negligent manslaughters but a NUMERICALLY larger amount is important. Now add to this that cops patrol more where more crimes occur and in almost every major city in the US the most murders (which is ultimate indicator of violent crime) occur in the poor, black neighborhoods and you have a picture that many fail or refuse to see.

I don't have to watch any video. I know there is a policing problem in America that needs to be addressed. I also know there is a culture problem among blacks that needs to be addressed. I have enough common sense to know that those two problems are not mutually exclusive and can both be addressed at the same time without having to pick a side.

Liberalism is ugly and very scary.

Is it time to admit all these taxes don't do you a bit of good and a more powerful government can't help anyone?

Not I.

It is perfectly possible to recognize that the BLM crowd is out of its fricking mind AND, that blacks are now making the situation worse AND.......to recognize that we have a policing problem in America.

I'm white and got beat up by a cop for no reason. Didn't reach for a gun so I'm still alive. Sorry these dumb blacks couldn't do the same. It's not a race issue. It's a police brutality issue.

yeah, but that doesn't fit the pot-stirrers narrative. they are desperate to make it a race issue even tho common sense statistics don't support it. and they are ignorant enough to let politicians and the liberal media get them into a frenzy over it, like sheep. and once the election is over, nothing will ever be done and the media won't pick it up any longer.

I agree those of us so highly critical to cops before the arrival of BLM have been quieter.

BLM has taken a vitally important issue (police brutality and overmilitarization) and twisted it into a race divide, all the while proving the point of the "bootlickers" by their repetitive, and predictable, actions.

They have muted the rational concern of many citizens by acting like animals, and as a result have turned those same citizens against their cause. Or at least have lost their support.

They have honored and revered idiots like Michael Brown and Alton Sterling instead of staying focused on cases like Tamir Rice, Walter Scott, and the many other legitimate examples of police brutality and corruption. It sucks, but it's entirely BLM's fault.

I actually agree with most of that. I don't think it's entirely BLM's fault. Politicians shoulder more of the blame for the divide. Very good post.
