They do it to test you...if you cave in she knows she can push you around for the rest of the relationship.

I purposely scheduled my wedding during LSU/Auburn - UT/Bama because we got the event space cheaper and I knew I would have a nice small headcount like I wanted. Plus, both me and the wife's favorite season is fall, especially in the mountains. I've missed many a football game doing other things that I wanted to do, so this doesn't really bother me.
Know how I know you're ghey?

It is LSU football time and hunting season. Nothing should be planned. Had a friend have his wedding on the LSU/Bama "game of the century". We all know who runs that relationship now.

WHAT A FAT STUPID SLUT!

I got married the weekend of LaTech. Everybody showed up, because it was LaTech. You don't schedule a wedding during an SEC game, especially when it's Ole Miss.

That bitch can go to hell, and die!

My son's birthday is going to be the weekend of an LSU/Saints game. Not much we fcan do about it. It's his first birthday, so we can't just not do anything. We decided to have one Sunday since we're bigger LSU fans and we'll just deal with the Saints game.

If someone gets married,on a game day, that's their prerogative. As much as I love LSU, my wife is slightly more important to me. So I can see how it's a secondary thought to people. But I still got married in the spring to avoid such things.

My wife has gotten to the point where she asks for a schedule each year to keep in her phone so she knows if we will be in BR or if she can go to a birthday/shower/wedding. Home games, she knows not to even ask. Away games, she will go alone unless the game time is opposite of the event. My godchild's bday is in September and my sister checks with me about when LSU has games before she books her birthday party so that I can make it. (They have Saints season tickets so I have had to compromise a time or 2 and go to the party before heading to the LSU game)

I got married at noon on a Saturday of an LSU/Kentucky night game at tiger stadium. I bought tickets for the wedding party and out-of-town friends, then bussed them to the game after the reception. I saw a few of them on tv in their tuxes. It was a great time for all.

She did say "ratchet", so that throws me off. I know I'm getting old. But I hate when people say that crap.

That's awesome! We had a big LSU/Olemiss tailgate party as one of our engagement parties and got tickets for anyone who wanted to go to the game. Then our wedding was the weekend after SEC championshipso it didn't interfere with anyone's football schedule.

To me, planning our wedding was about having it when the most people would be able to come. So many people look forward to football season, like me and mriluv. I would never want to ask someone to stop doing what makes them happy to attend my wedding or birthday party. It would make me feel selfish like what I want someone to do is more important that whatever they want to do. Sept-nov should be off limits for weddings.

One of my good friends from high school got married on LSU-Ole Miss game weekend back in 2013. His wife got pissed when around half of the people didn't come because of "a stupid football game". Her actual words.

That's the worst. It's one thing to know the risks and accept them, it's a whole other deal to expect everyone to attend.

A few months back my sis in law and fiancé were discussing with us the date of this engagement party his parents were hosting in BR. They were considering the day of Auburn game and she said "just turn the game off if it's a distraction."

I kindly suggested that ain't gonna fly

Your wedding was on an LSU game day. You are not a baw. You are a homo.
