I got married out of state during the weekend of the Oregon game. Our rehearsal dinner was actually during the game. Before we left for the restaurant, everybody came down to the hotel bar and watched the first couple drives and had a few beers. My boy actually had an earpiece in during the whole dinner listening to the game and would update the party when the score changed. Between that and stopping for a few minutes in front of the TV during bathroom breaks, everybody stayed pretty much entertained.

The free booze and $75 a head meal helped too I'm sure.

Tell them to throw an engagement tailgate party! Killing two birds with one stone! However if they don't have a good tailgate spot or access to tickets, it could be a problem

I can't wait until the SEC moves around the schedule again and your anniversary ends up during Auburn or Ole Miss week every year. Then you'll learn the real reason why no fall weddings.

It's not just one day. It's an unnecessary risk every week for your entire 10-20 years of marriage or whatever until you divorce due to numerous tiny mistakes like this compounded over time.

I know a couple of LSU grads that got married during the LSU/Bama 2011 9-3 game. They are now divorced.

Scheduled my wedding in December, one week after the SECCG. Convinced the wife that it was the best time of year for where we were going on the honeymoon.

Jesus Christ, I didn't know the state would grant a marriage license to guys whose balls haven't dropped yet.

I straight told my wife that we were not having a fall wedding and we just waited until the next April so we could do an outdoor wedding when the weather was nice. Everyone happy.

We didn't go to an SEC school but we still didn't plan a fall wedding. Right in the middle of May so it is a nice time to vacation each year. Can go pretty much anywhere in the southeast and it isn't too cool or too hot.

I can honestly say I've never been to a fall wedding. One in late December right before Christmas is as close to fall. We were in the wedding and they wanted it at the church with all of the Christmas decorations. It was pretty cool. But like December 18-20 whatever the Saturday was that year.

A few years ago my niece waited till the week end after the regular season was over to schedule her wedding. What's the problem? She forgot to include the SEC Championship games in her plans.

You would think the bday would fall on a different date every year.
