Why is there so much Generation Hatred: Baby Boomers, Gen X and millennials

I am a big history buff, and from studying some of the accomplishments made in the last 100 years, I feel that generation blaming is a fruitless exercise.
Every generation has had to deal with different problems with only the resources available to them at the time.
For example, I am in my mid 20s and I personally don't use social media much outside of YouTube. However, if Facebook were invented 40 or more years ago, many of people who are 50+ now would have used it as adolescence.
As for the complaints about problems, I will admit that I have had to make a lot of self-inspection about my problems in life and how to resolve them. I realize that personal responsibility and not having a defeatist attitude is one way to overcome them. But some problems the millennials face are not completely of their own doing.
So I have some questions
1) Is college just as costly now as it was for Baby Boomers and Gen X (scaling for inflation)
2) Are companies as willing to hire recent high school graduates in 2017 as they were in 1960 to 1985. Were the barriers for entry level positions the same now as they were then.
3) Given this is a post-racial society (legally speaking) do you feel that the influx of minorities and women in the workforce may have caused a higher supply of labor thus creating more competition and lowering wages.
4) Is home buying more difficult for the average American and if so is it due to economic conditions post 2010 being different from 1960 to 1985.
TLDR. Are the economic conditions of previous generations the same as they were for post 2000s.
Any references or links would be appreciated.

Economic conditions for this generation are worse than previous ones. You used to be able to roll out of high school and get a job and a house.
You know the answer to these questions before you even start the thread.

Millenials are tired of having to pick up the slack and paying for the mistakes of boomers and gen x'ers

Some people easier than others;
That is where our wealth inequality/ gap first started and it continued to grow from there.

Baby boomers and GenX are without a doubt the worst generations in the last 100 years. We're in the mess were in because of them.

It's not bad when baby boomers left you a whole bunch of money. Sorry if your parents didn't take advantage of the perks of being a professional in the 70-90's.

Baby boomers fricked up our SS and millennials are the biggest bunch of pussies of any generation ever.

It's always been this way. Social media just makes it seem worse.

Not even fricking close. College tuition, fees, and books are insanely more expensive.

It's mostly because boomers are low IQ, tech illiterate jallops whose main accomplishments are simply being born at the right time.
Look at our electoral candidates. Trump. Hillary. Jeb. Bernie.
Just lol at boomers

~5% of people had college degrees in the 1960s, so getting a job after college was very easy.
Today, college degrees are almost as prevalent as high school diplomas. Sucks for new college grads these days, but don't blame GenX or Boomers for this. It's just the way it is.
quote:Only in the sense that PC culture ensures that women and minorities are going to get the job over a white male, all things being equal. So if you are a white male, this is a factor/excuse for struggle. If you are non-white or a woman, this is actually a benefit for you, and means that you have no excuse for not finding a good job as a college grad.
3) Given this is a post-racial society (legally speaking) do you feel that the influx of minorities and women in the workforce may have caused a higher supply of labor thus creating more competition and lowering wages.
quote:Home buying the last 15 years has been easier than ever in American history. But that also drives values up. IT's a long equation, but rest assured that both sides of the equation have to balance. When low down payment low interest mortgages are available, many more buyers enter the market.... thus prices rise.
4) Is home buying more difficult for the average American and if so is it due to economic conditions post 2010 being different from 1960 to 1985.

What a shitty attitude to have get some self motivation and make things happen of your own accord. I hope my boomer parents spent every last cent of their nest egg and go out in a blaze of glory bucket list style.

We had Rand Paul and he got like 5% of the vote. I think we'll continue getting celebrity candidates. It's the reality TV, social media generation. I'm glad I'll be dead before we elect Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho
