Jefferson isn't moving, nor is Airline.

I know it's 5:50 but it's normally never THIS bad at this time.

What gives?

Eta: Nicholson, Burbank, highland and Perkins towards Lsu are parking lots.

It's not because it was 5:50. It was that way on bluebonnet and Perkins also. This was at 4:30.

No idea why traffic was so damn bad today.

Is it?

Jefferson HWy gets traffic here and Airline backs up too, but he didn't say Earhart.

The interstate had multiple wrecks. My guess is it's spilling on to the surface streets.

Accident on the Bridge on I10

Accident on Burbank where some Asian kid tried to make a Uturn and got smashed.

Per Google Maps, there were two minor accidents on Highland.

It really is insanely ridiculous how terrible people are at driving in this city.

The interstate has a lane blocked in both directions around Acadian. Westbound was backed up to Siegen an hour ago.

Was about to post a thread. Burbank going toward lsu is bumper to bumper. I've never seen that. Traffic is usually bad going away from lsu.

St George will not have this problem. It will have its own loop, a day traffic will not be out of control.

I was on Jefferson from Drusilla to Old Hammond today at 1700 and traffic was there but it wasn't horrendous.

I always add in buffer travel time between 1600-1900 around this city.

Tried getting from Kenilworth to campus about an hour ago.

Highland was backed up to almost Kenilworth, so I took the cut through and got on Burbank. It was backed up to the daiquiri shop.

Turned around and got in gardere to Nicholson. Backed up just as bad. Still sitting here by the LSU fire training place.

Hadn't seen it this bad on a non-gameday.
