Why don't more people study at SUBR

Okay I've been meaning to ask this question all year.
Look at the fact that the academic rigor at SU is not as bad as LSU or most other universities, yet people still find good jobs equal to LSU grads. Logically SU would be the preferred choice.
Yet people still criticize my decision versus staying at LaTech.

You should ask the students over there. Maybe you can talk them into studying and that will increase the graduation rate.

Do they still find "good jobs equal to LSU grads?" Certainly not in comparable numbers.
Also, why do you refer to academic rigor as being "bad?"

To be honest, this is hard to clarify. I know a few in grad school who have worked. I also know some people who easily land interns, but have difficulty landing jobs.
On linkedin they have profiles of SU grads with good jobs in engineering, but I have no way of knowing how they got them or the frequency in which it happens.

I don't view it as bad. However I do find it unbalanced. If someone like me can make it at SUBR and still get the same pay and opportunities as an LSU masters grad, what was the point of going to LSU ??

I went to lsu for undergrad, ULL for grad school, same degree. LSU had a much more rigorous program, and LSU students got much better jobs than ULL students.

OK then. So how can I get a general idea of engineering SU vs engineering LSU in terms of job prospects.
As I said, I'm struggling to find work, but a few SU grads seem ok. Think I should try asking them ? They could be disingenuous.

Seriously, when is the Reveille article you are researching on tiger droppings coming out? At first I thought it would be end of fall semester but I guess this will be a big opening act for spring.

If more people did study while there they wouldn't have a 6% graduation rate or whatever embarrassingly low number it is. State has a budget problem? It's because we piss away money to shitshows like Southern.

Because it frickin sucks.
I have a friend who had to drop out of engineering at LSU because he and his wife couldn't afford it any more. He transferred to southern where he could pay in state tuition. Per him, a very smart guy, it's like preschool over there. Took him 9 months to find a job after graduation, because nobody is hiring a red headed white dude with an engineering degree from southern. If southern didn't graduate minorities their post-graduate employment statistics would be more laughable than they already are.
GTFO with your sorry arse southern university bull shite. It isn't comparable to LSU, tech, ULL, or even UNO in any way. You should be banned for bringing this garbage up so much. Use your privilege, because your degree ain't getting you shite.

Volod, you're getting worse. You know the academic rigor is not the same, and everyone else knows that too. They're not getting the same jobs

Are you a minority? If so, you will be fine.
If not, you went to the wrong school pal.

I'm even getting tired of reading your same posts over and over - and I lurk full time.
I'm an EE. The majority of the curriculum at LSU did not help me in my jobs since graduation. Learning how to think critically and adapt to challenges, with minimal to no guidance, is the main lesson learned from an engineering degree. You have to be responsible for thinking for yourself.
Based on the number of shitty threads and posts by you, you have a lot to learn still. Quit being insecure and prove your worth when you graduate - no one will care where you went to school as much as you do if you perform.
