Why don't casinos host other head to head card games?

Not as much demand more than likely. But I bet if you're willing to pay enough rake for a casino to deal high stakes UNO they'd do it.

casinos already basically lose money on poker, and the revenue they do get is via rake

how do you think they're going to make money off games with fewer players and a slower/smaller rake?

The Splash Casino in Tunica, MS offered Tonk card games prior to their going out of business.

because the casino won't get their cut. Why take a small percentage of the rake when you can just bankrupt both players

Didn't they have a casino like that on Vegas Vacation?

Pick a number.

Every casino I've been to had had multiple tables with a dealer standing there and no players. Eventually someone walks up and plays 1v1.

I hate it because you can lose a ton of money quickly playing like 2 blackjack hands a minute

I'd make some serious bank if they played tonk. Since it's a prison game, I don't know why it was so popular in Orlando. But it was.

My favorite targets were drug dealers with a big ego. I used to win hundreds a night in high school.

casinos make 80% of their money on slot machines. they'd get rid of everything else if they could get away with it, and just have a bunch of zombies pulling down levers

they keep poker to make it look slightly less pathetic

Splash was the first casino in Tunica County. It was a river boat that was owned by a wealthy farmer with farm land along the river. He was printing money when it first opened. The corp. casinos built huge casinos north of Splash closer to Memphis causing Splash to go out of business.

There is now a huge parking lot in a cotton field where the casino used to be. There is also a huge trailer park in the middle of no where that the dealers and casino workers lived in at one time.

This. I always hate it when I am at a rocking table, winning, then over a 15 minute span everyone walks away and it is just me getting raped by the dealer 3 hands a minute. This happens at least once every other time I go.

Side note is how do some casinos go bankrupt?

I go in there and lose 100-200 every time and I'm like the smallest of minnows in the big sea. I see people throwing around 100 dollar chips like its nothing
