Why does Juban Crossing look so different from its initial plan?

I know a small reason was the 2008 economic and credit crisis, but it looks nothing like the blueprint.

Anyone else think it looks lackluster and less than desirable when you drive by it?

I would say let them finish all phases. They may gussy it up as they finish building all of the things that are going to be back there.

Not a flame thread or post whatsoever. It just doesn't look appealing at all.

It's only partially complete.

Yep. They did the same shite in Covington off of the new Pennacle exit. Get everyone excited about a Ruth Chris and Sacks, then give them Kohls and Texas Roadhouse.

I don't doubt the plans are going in a different direction, but originally they had hotels and all kind of pie in the sky things. It took them from 2008-2013 to even start. A lot of the original stores pulled out from that initial announcement. And funding went back and forth and don't forget the greasing of the Denham council that had to be done to get it going. It sucked that it took them that long to do anything, but I doubted they would ever actually build it at one point.

I'll reserve judgment until it's completed

How about let them finish it up a little more before jumping to conclusions.

this are adding a movie theater (one that servers food and alcohol), stroubies, and a walk ons right now. Once more of the places are built and the money is coming in the facelift portions will probably take shape.

The appeal seems fine to me.

Driving around in it is a fricking disaster, though. It's retarded.

I didn't realize there would be a stroube's. That's pretty cool. Walk ons will be extremely popular. I can't imagine the shitshow it will be for the first few months.

Had to! How many guys in Denham would be fishing in this lake while wives shopped?

think out the hooters crowd.

stroube's is going to be a hybrid of the capitol city grill and downtown strouble's menu. if they bring the cajun meatloaf lunch special it will be legit.

Why don't the LPers fund a road tax and do some four laning. Then maybe other properties would get developed.

Same for the AP
