Why do so many people use the American Pickers ringer/text alert?

Everywhere I go I hear the same ring tone. Are people playing that one on purpose thinking they are cool,or is it the basic ringtone of a certain type of phone? I Want my phone to sound different than everyone so I know it's mine.
