Why do people skip leg day?

Arms bigger around than your legs don't seem cool.

Yep, always laugh at those dudes with the big arms and upper body...and tiny bird legs.

"Yea I'll just do some treadmill for legs"

Because most pansy asses complain about having knee problems due to their inability to squat to proper depth.
Also, it's typically more metabolically taxing and intense.
I know a number of people who are under the impression that doing deadlifts or heavy squats will inevitably lead to a ruptured disc, a muscular strain in the lower back, a hernia, etc. Rather than attempt to learn proper form and technique from a qualified professional or at least a well-trained athlete, most just choose to avoid the movements altogether.

Because working legs is a "gut checker," and a lot of guys don't have the mental fortitude to consistently put forth that kind of effort...

Today is Leg Day for me. Not looking forward to it. Left knee is trash.
Squatting doesn't hurt. It hurts when I do step-up variations, to the point that I just stop.
Might need to go to the doc for it.
Yes, my hamstrings are strong. I do yoga. I do pilates. It only alleviates the pain somewhat.

Because they don't have the "chest" for it.

Knee issues, back issues, it's a two day event if done right.
Day of fatigue after and at least one sore day.
Problem is always in balance. Easier to go heavy on upper body than legs. So even for some who do legs, if you go light legs and hard on upper body you'll get that stick leg look.
Every gym has a couple of those guys.

I HATE leg day with a passion. But, I still do it. Because it's the right thing to do.

Yep, my leg dayS suck too since I do quads (squats) and deads along with hams about 3 days apart so I get 2 days to hate.

The bigger question is why are you checking out dudes at the gym?
Posted on 9/4/16 at 4:15 pm to DanTiger
It's when you work legs so much that you cant walk right for a couple days after and you have to wait a period of time(longer than 2 days) to hit em again. Try it sometime.

Some questions just can't be answered.
Why did God curse you with a little dick?

Because real exercise is aerobic, not anaerobic.
Sure you can lift, but you can't hike 5 miles without feeling it....

Yep. I hit them twice a week. Squats, leg extensions, step ups, and calf raises. I do dead lifts on back day and I work leg curls in that day too.
I turned 40 last year. I don't try to go as heavy anymore. I usually squat 6 sets and try to get 8-10 reps. My legs will be shite for about 2 days and are recovered in about 4 days.
