Why do people pay for bottle service?
Posted by Austin Cajun on 1/15/15 at 9:47 am20
Never understood this and it seems to be a huge waste of money to me. Am I missing something other than trying to impress people by pissing away money for a $50 bottle of liquor?

Honestly, even for like a one off event in Vegas or something, I don't think I'd really be interested. That type of nightlife and the people are not appealing to me at all.

in places like vegas and miami it's required to get a table and on busy nights it's required to get in if you're just a group of hard dicks
outside of that I don't know why unless it's cheaper than everyone buying single drinks all night

It establishes dominance.

I have done bottle service numerous times in Vegas. When I do it though it's corporate money so I'm not out 1 penny. If I had to pay for it on my own then you wouldn't find me anywhere close to those places. I would rather sit in a sports book and gamble. Nothing excites me about that club atmosphere.

Last time I did it they were $300 a bottle. I think we spent more on redbull than that since every chick wanted vodka and redbull and those bitches were $7 a can. I drank the bourbon with water, but they may have charged for the ice...

I've been offered it, but I honestly don't know what it even is.
Do they just sell you a bottle of liquor and let you pour your own? What about ice and mixers? Do they just roll a mini beverage station to you?

Im not a fan of the clubs, never really was, but sometimes you have to go. In those cases, I would rather have a table to sit at and drinks on hand than wait in line at the bar and walk through a crowded club.

Because you don't have to go to the bathroom to do gator tails

it's an evolutionary trait
same reason why guys with no game who want to have sex with hot chicks buy gaudy sports cars

So people can feel important for a night. Take Vegas for example, you basically have to get buy a table with bottle service or else you're the scrub of the club. But if you talk to a girl at a table over she's probably from like Beaumont, TX or some other shithole like that.
If you want to do it there is nothing wrong with it but it isn't meant to be some kind of deal.

This. Only had bottle service twice. Once was totally unnecessary and douchey. Another time, it was completely worth it because it was a concert and they brought us to a private balcony overlooking the entire crowd.
Only reason bottle service isn't my preference is because I don't drink mixed drinks.

I've been to Vegas 3 or 4 times. Did VIP bottle service at TAO, XS, Rehab, Marquee, and Hard Rock.
Would NEVER go to those clubs without some type of VIP/bottle service. It would be miserable.
fyi no I did not pay for it.
