Why do dirtbags love the Pit Bull so much?

I don't think I have ever met an upstanding pit bull owner, though they surely exist.
Is it a case of; 'not all pit bull owners are dirtbags, but all dirtbags are wannabe pit bull owners'?

RA yourself for move to the OT.
Pit bulls are indeed trashy and dangerous though.

Seems socioeconomic.

I don't think all Pitt Bull owners are dirtbags. But I'm tired of their endless crusade to prove how sweet their dog is. I don't want to see a Facebook post with a Pitt Bull sleeping next to a newborn. NO DOG SHOULD BE THAT CLOSE TO A FRAGILE BABY YOU FRICKING IDIOTS.

it's class signaling
the fact that people like you would make this comment/ask this question to differentiate your classes is the reason why they do it

Tattoos, cigs, Mustangs/Camaros, motorcycle patches. Ghetto/trashy names like Quan, Troy, Neisha, and Charity (future skrippa fa sho).
Just one of those things. People like what they like.

I own 2 female lap dogs and have raised pits since 1983 and far from a dirtbag.

Pretty annoying when the owner says how sweet and protective it is to their 4 year old but are terribly surprised and horrified when another 4 year old pushes their 4 year old down and their pit bull eats that kids face off....

All pit bull owners think they aren't trashy dogs.

Pit bulls are trashy, I've never really seen anyone argue against it.

Do you not admit that you're an outlier in the world of pitt ownership?

Like people who own pet snakes and their women-folk get lots of tattoos?
They're rebelling against "The Man"? In the Current Year??

He probably walks his with dock lines instead of regular old rope so his aren't trashy.

No doubt I would love to take a baseball bat to some pit owners and other breed owners for that matter. A dog is as good as their owners.

Some pit bull owners are trashy and they attract shitty owners.
Pits can be great dogs though. I have known quite a few wonderful pitbulls.
The problem is that pit bulls are powerful. So if something goes wrong, it can be really horrible. but you should be blaming the owner not the dog.

Blame can be spread around. Trashy owners, but breeding dogs that sometimes get enraged with no previous signs and have the power to kill most anything is stupid.

Me and the wife were at Fairview park in Madisonville a few weekends back and a woman who was probably around 110 lbs was walking her pit bull on a leash and when it got near to us, the dog sort of climbed on our bench and the owner was struggling to pull him back. If the dog had decided to do us harm, there is no way in the world she could have restrained it.
