Why do almost all nursing threads go 10+ pages?

I never understood how nursing threads get so much attention. It's a middle class job nothing exciting about it. Most people could get a nursing degree if they choose. I just don't understand.

same reason for teacher threads
everybody knows one, its usually women, and you have the guys that basically hate women vs the white knights

Because there are a lot of nurses out there and a lot of people here have a S/O or relative that is a nurse.
And because it's a profession dominated by women so we have to pretend it's more difficult than it really is.

Not sure why you're laughing, my wife is going through nursing school right now and both of my parents are RNs. I know what goes into the schooling and can tell you basically first hand that it is not easy at all and not just anyone could do it.
